SPORTS & ATHLETICS
PUBLIC SCHOOL SPORTS
Since CIAS does not have an athletic department, and we qualify as a non-member school since our student body is within the limits of the qualifying number, CIAS students are invited to play sports at their local district public school.

If a student's district public school does not provide the particular sport that the student wants to play, they may choose to play that sport at an out-of-district school.
PRIVATE SCHOOL SPORTS
CIAS may play interscholastic team sports at local private schools (religious and nonreligious), as per the most recent accreditation policies and procedures.

EL12- Registration and Guidelines for Student Attending a Non-Member Private School to Participate at the Zoned Public School:
"The student must complete and have the (EL12) form notarized, as well as obtain information concerning the private school from an administrator of the private school. The student will then bring the form to the public school and the athletic director will verify the eligibility of the student. If the student is determined to be eligible the athletic director will submit information concerning the student to the FHSAA via C2CSchools using the EL13S Form (Registration Form for Non-Standard Student to Participate in Athletics at a Member School)."

OTHER ATHLETIC PROGRAMS
CIAS students may play in a wide variety of community athletic programs, including community sports leagues, church sports leagues, etc. There are many of these scattered across the Gulf Coast.
