UNIT STUDIES
We welcome families who use unit studies with their elementary students.  If you want to vary your child(ren)'s curriculum and enhance their learning, try adding occasional science and history unit studies into your curriculum. KONOS and Sonlight are two of the most popular, and there are many others.

The Christian Institute of Arts & Sciences also utilizes School of Tomorrow curriculum to provide a proven quality home study program that is adaptable to individual needs.  Qualified advisors assist enrolled families by evaluating, diagnostic tests, prescribing curriculum, and answering academic questions.

Third edition A.C.E./School of Tomorrow curriculum is an attractive, full color school program that emphasizes individualized and self-instructional learning.  Christian Character Qualities and Scripture are taught throughout all subjects.  It is based on a mastery system of education and has been rated by McGraw-Hill as one of the highest among academic curricula in widespread use.  We have found this program to have a great impact on the lives of young people, instilling Christian Character in their lives.

This Mastery system prescribes curricula individually allowing a student to move ahead faster or go slower at the whatever rate is best for his learning abilities.  The student is not caught in a program that proceeds regardless of whether he has mastered the material or not nor does he have to wait for others when he is ready to advance.   We highly recommend it for average to below average students, as well as for students with learning disabilities.  Call the school office for more information.
