MAKE UP & GROOMING
ALL CIAS students should refrain from drawing attention to themselves and 
being a distraction to other students. With this in mind, we set forth the 
following guidelines:
BOYS 
* All haircuts to be out of boys faces; this means that hair should not hang 
into or cover the eyes & ears, nor should it touch the shirt collar.
* No distracting jewelry
* No visible or covered body piercing or rings.
* No earrings 
* No punk or gothic makeup, haircuts, hair dies , jewelry, or accessories
* No tattoos or writing on skin 
GIRLS
* Feminine haircuts are allowed; no boyish haircuts on female students.
* One to two pairs of matching earnings are acceptable; no visible or covered 
body piercing or rings.
* No garish nail polishes or make-up
* No punk or gothic makeup, haircuts, hair dies, jewelry, or accessories
* No tattoos or writing on skin 

DRESS CODE
All CIAS students should dress to please the Lord and not themselves or their 
peers. 
GIRLS will wear modest shirts, skirts, dresses, and jumpers. Skirts will be 
mid-calf to ankle length. NO SHORT SKIRTS! No pants are to be worn under 
skirts except in cold weather; then they MUST be of a matching color. They are 
to wear slips with all skirts that are not denim or heavy sportswear. If you 
wear a shirt that will break dress code, wear another shirt over it. If you 
break dress code, clothing will be given to you to wear while you are at school. 
Hats and caps are allowed.
* No see-through shirts
* No tight, form-fitting shirts
* No shirts showing the midriff or underwear top
* No sleeveless shirts that show your bra straps
* No low-rider waistbands on skirts
* No slits above the knee when standing
* No shorts skirts, dresses, or jumpers. See above guidelines.
* No punk or gothic attire

BOYS will wear t-shirts with appropriate writing, jeans, and sportswear. 
They are to wear belts to keep their pants up so that their underwear does not 
show.
