MISSION STATEMENT:

We desire as a ministry to be used to build strong godly families by assisting parents in the education of their children in the safe and secure environment of their home.  the CIAS  is dedicated and equipped to assist parents in this mission.   I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.  III John 4

CHRISTIAN INSTITUTE:

The Christian Institute of Arts & Sciences  was established in 1997 as a non public school with the Florida Department of Education.  We now function as an accredited private school, working primarily with families that teach their own children.   We keep files, record transcripts, and offer help in maintaining your home education through various levels of support.  CIAS  provides proof of registration and documentation to satisfy the state's requriements for private education.  We assist those who wish to earn high school diplomas by issuing high school credits and diplomas.   This is an advantage over state registered home schooling, which does not result in  official transcripts and diplomas.  CIAS is accredited by the Florida Coalition of Christian Private School Administrators (FCCPSA). FCCPSA is a board of experienced, godly, private umbrella school administrators that offers accreditation, accountability, guidelines, and legal counseling.

YOU AS A PARENT:

We believe that children are a gift from God to parents and that the education of children is a God-given right and responsibility of parents.  CIAS  has classrooms spread throughout the Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties of Northwest Florida.   Instead of registering with the state and home schooling as defined by the Florida Home Schooling Statutes, you will be enrolling in a private school which allows you to fulfill school attendance laws and choice of appropriate curriculum.  When enrolling your child in the Christian Institute, you are accepting the responsibilities and duties of a teacher and supervisor of your home-classroom environment.
